WEBconference : for participants ACTORS, not just SPECTATORS

June 3, 2008

Acceeware
A challenger in the WEBconference industry, Tele-efficiency, announce the launching of Accessware, the bi-directional remote screen sharing add-on for Conferenceware, its unified conferencing solution, audio-video-WEBconference. Accessware permits to show the screen of a participant of a WEBconference to all or to grant control of the presenter’s screen to a participant with guaranteed security.

Beyond a PowerPoint presentation, screen sharing by itself permits for a WEBconference presenter to show any file as a Word document or an Excel spreadsheet and to work on it in real time. More, you may make a software demonstration sharing a portion of your screen, an application or your complete desktop. Accessware increases these functionalities opening them to all WEBconference participants who become actors and not uniquely spectators.

Concretely, The presenter accessed a remote PC, one belonging to a participant of a WEBconference with Conferenceware. This participant communicates to him a password, thanks to instant messaging from Conferenceware, that the presenter must enter to access his PC. The participant pre-authorizes the presenter to control remotely his/her mouse and keyboard. The presenter shares the participants screen on his/her PC and broadcast it to all the participants of a WEBconference with Conferenceware.

Incidentally, the mechanics can be reversed, when the presenter gives control of his PC to a participant, who now becomes a co-presenter. In most cases, participants to a WEBconference hesitate to install a software on their PC to participate. «Conscious of participants to a WEBconference reservations, we conceived a technological architecture providing an unequal security level.» declare Tele-efficiency’s CEO, Michel Dionne, at Conferenceware launching.

To do this, the presenter and the participants need to open a screen sharing software, which will establish an encrypted tunnel via a SSH server transparent to firewalls. Once downloaded and saved, they only need to click on the icon of the shortcut place on their desktop to start the program.. When WEBconference ends and the Accessware application is closed, that one exits the computers memory and absolutely no trace of communication is kept on both side.

As a one-stop shop, Tele-efficiency provides a unified conferencing solution; audio-video-WEBconference at a fixed price for an unlimited number of meetings up to 25 participants. It integrates with most CRM applications as well as with Outlook and Skype. The greeting is customizable for each client’s company image with their logo. It is hosted on the WEB as a service or can be installed on the Intranet of a client. A 30 days free trial is offered.

Unified conference software: audio-video-WEBconference, for Intranet

March 7, 2008

WEBconference services over the Internet are more and more used mainly since their pricing mode switched from per minute per participant to fixed price per month, for unlimited use. In spite of that, its use has been restricted for security reasons but also due to enterprise culture which valorizes the use of internal resources instead of external service renting.

Nevertheless, benefits of conferencing technologies as audioconference, videoconference and WEBconference, taken separately, have been demonstrated as well as to save time than to reduce travel expenses. Imagine what it could be with unified conference integrating audio, video and WEBconference over the same PC interface.

Two conditions need to be met to improve the impact. First, unified conference need to be an internal resource as email, CRM or ERP, available at no cost simply with a mouse clic. More, the solution needs to reach a security level almost military and operates over an Intranet, on an enterprise local area network (LAN) and not over the WEB.

With this perspective in mind, Tele-efficiency offers now its unified conference solution, Conferenceware, as software with a perpetual license (One time fee) still exploiting it as a service over the WEB. In this case, enterprises acquire the software at fixed price and host their meetings over their own WEB server, on Intranet. Professional services for installing and training are provided through a distribution network.

This distribution network is composed of computer integrators mainly those who commercialize CRM solutions with which Conferenceware is integrated. The enterprises who offer voice over IP services find also an opportunity to up-sell their current customer base.

Tele-efficiency launches a unified conferencing solution: audio-video-WEBconference

August 30, 2007

(Montreal - 2007) Many years of running voice messaging and electronic mail, we have lost sight that essential communications happens during real time and not differed time. Although, we’ve all had the occasion to experiment with direct communication technology like: audio-conference, videoconference and WEB conference.

Each of these technologies presents advantages accompanied by their disadvantages. Audioconferencing transports voices to many while leaving us in the dark. Videoconferencing gives us color but it is not useful for collaboration around a presentation or a document. For the most part, WEB-conferencing is designed to collaborate with screen sharing and sometimes giving the impression of talking into space.

Today, unified conferencing integrates audio, video and WEBconference onto one interface for PC. It replicates in the domain of conferences what unified messaging has realized while integrating vocal messaging with email. Although, it’s the screen sharing that changes everything making participants in a WEBconference, actors and not just spectators. That constitutes the most important catalyst of collaboration and source of synergy in the organizations.

Tele-efficiency also releases “Accessware” a bi-directional remote screen sharing add-on for Conferenceware, its unified conferencing solution. During a WEBconference with Accessware, the presenter could show the screen of a participant to all. Inversely, he or she could give control of his/her screen to another participant, which then becomes a co-presenter.

WEBconference in 8 languages including Chinese

April 18, 2007

WEBconferences are just like normal meetings but they are conducted virtually over the Internet. Presenters can give PowerPoint presentations, consult documents, use interactive on-screen graphics and even vote or display the results of collaborative efforts. With multilingual WEBconference, presenters as well as participants can select their user interface language, independently of the content of the WEBconference which relay to the presenter.Since its beginning, Tele-efficiency offered WEBconference service in 3 languages: English, Spanish and French. Now, it increase its linguistic offer to include 8 languages. Even if European languages are mainly present as German, Italian and Dutch, Portuguese has been also added to surround America Latina with Brazil. But it is indisputably a Chinese interface which is a breakthrough for WEBconferences. Have a look at www.chinese.tele-efficiency.com

The forthcoming Olympic games in Beijing does not explain by itself the interest of Tele-efficiency for China. In fact, it is the fast growing economy of China which justify the set-up of remote meeting tools between Chinese and occidental business peoples, commented Michel Dionne, CEO of Tele-efficiency. He added: “If the medium is the message, WEBconference means network and synergy”.

The negotiation of commercial agreements usually requires many talks. It is where WEBconference becomes interesting to reduce traveling, to facilitate exchanges and to accelerate conclusion of agreements and their follow-up. Nevertheless, it is the tip of the iceberg because technology transfer and project management benefit equally from WEBconference.

The cost of WEBconference services is usually based on per-minute and per-participant rates. However, Tele-efficiency offers a free 30-day trial period followed by a fixed-rate quarterly or annual service contract that includes an unlimited number of meetings with a maximum of 25 participants simultaneously. The address of the international portal is: www.tele-efficiency.net.

WEBconference integrated with CRM

April 11, 2007

According to the Forrester consulting firm, the WEBconference market has had a 28% annual increase in the last 5 years and this progression should continue until 2011, going from 700 million to 2,8 billions a year. Better known for its applications on the public WEBinar, the eMeeting applications should experience in themselves the strongest increase.

Because eMeeting participants figure normally among your contacts, the necessity to integrate WEBconference with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application is obvious. In the case of a prospecting WEBinar, the list of registered people is imported to constitute contact files automatically in corresponding CRM software.

Tele-efficiency offers WEBconference service in 8 languages, under the trademark Conferenceware, integrated with most of the CRM applications as well as with Skype and Outlook. Among CRM softwares with which Conferenceware integrates, we mention:Accpac (Sage), ACT! (Sage), Clarify (Amdoc), Commence, Goldmine (Front Range), Maximizer, Microsoft CRM (Dynamics), mySAP CRM, Onyx, Pivotal, Salesforce, SalesLogix (Sage), Selligent, Siebel (Oracle).

Conferenceware generates the data automatically for an invitation in the template of a new email; description, agenda, the hyperlink to get to the meeting, password if required and, voice broadcasting mode. Therefore, you only have to select people you want to invite amongst your contacts. Consequently, a copy of your invitation is saved with each contact file.

The report of a WEBconference indicates not only the participants, but also the answers they have provided to the questions submitted. Moreover, by recording a meeting, in which voice and image are synchronized, it can be replayed to check for fine tuning and be kept in the file as a potential attachment opportunity.

The cost of WEBconference services is usually based on per-minute and per-participant rates and, therefore, these services are very expensive among our competitors. Whereas, Conferenceware offers not only a free 30-day trial period but it is also followed by a fixed-rate quarterly or annual service contract that includes an unlimited number of meetings of up to 25 participants.
